The
local culture is maybe the best preserved of the region, friendly
inhabitants make their means of living from llamas and alpacas. The
arid landscape contrast with their colorful costumes. There’s hot
springs at Upispampa and Pacchanta, around Auzangate you can find
ice caves, glaciers and turquoise lakes. Vicuñas are often seen
after Jampa Pass.
