
| The South West face of Alpamayo is by
far the most known and most pictured of all. Its clean outline and
stunning sunsets enhance its reputation and so called title of
‘Most beautiful Mountain of the World’. The direct route or
‘Ferrari’ climb along a face fluting. Crossing the huge crevasse
at the feet of the west face may become tricky and varies from year
to year. Fixed ropes are found on his well-liked climb. See
