Nested among snow-peaks and glaciers, you reach
the lake through a narrow canyon walled by granite cliffs that rise
more than thousand meters from the bottom of the valley. At the
lower part, the Humid Forest and the waterfalls provides the stage
for this downhill with a total drop of -1900m throughout 32km in 4
hrs

Support
vehicle will lift us to the lake after 2 hrs. trip. Then we
head Downhill, experimenting the quick change of vegetation
and scenery as we exit the highlands through the glacier
valley. Soon, an endless chain of villages and likeable
farmers who greet our passage towards the base of the valley.
Now, the sandy route demands a moderate technique until
arriving back to Caraz. |
