Expedition: Callejon de Conchucos 3d/2n SUMMARY: The less touristic valley of Mosna River, on the East flanks of the Cordillera Blanca, offers a unique opportunity to explore and discover its many attractions such as hot springs, ancient pre Inca remains, beautiful lakes, villages perching-like on the green hills, canyons and a rich gastronomy.
ITINERARY: D1. By car from Caraz to Huaraz (67km), then by bus from Huaraz to Tunel Kahuish, start riding downhill towards Chavin. Accommodation, lunch, and visit to the pre Inca site. Visit the hot springs at Quercos, dinner, overnight.. D2. Riding along a gently dirt road towards San Marcos, then down towards bridge crossing river Mosna, now up &down until Puente Pomachaca – the gate to the jungle, from now there’s a long climb till Huari, dinner, overnight. D3. Riding uphill towards Purhuay lake, then enjoy sailing a kayak. Finally a downhill back to Huari and bus back to Huaraz or Caraz.
